A week in America by Rizlène El Yazidi
A week in America
So this has been a week that we are here, in USA !
Actually, this week was full of surprises, discovery and joy. We have
discovered another class system which is very cooler than the French
one, pupils can eat, text, talk with each other and it's normal!
Also, our Americans partners are all very nice; after the school we
discovered their malls, their lovely big malls! However, I have made
the experience of Black Friday which is mad, I thought that there will
be more people but there were very good deal. After that, I have
discovered an American mosque which is very pretty and big (like
everything in America), so different than the French ones. Finally
last night we were guest to a sleep over where we had lot of
fun!!!Americans are very friendly and I really enjoy our trip here even
if I miss France a little bit.

News from Romain Julien
Here is some news from the USA,
Thursday was Thanksgiving in the
USA it is a very important day for the Americans and most of them spend
it with their family. It's exactly what I did, I went to the house of
the grandparents and ate during a few hours with the whole family. Among
various dishes I tasted pumpkin pie and sweet-potato pie which are a
tradition at Thanksgiving and I liked both of them. Friday is also very
famous because it is The Black Friday, during this day the stores are
open from midnight and there are huge sales. All Americans go for
shopping but I also went to see fire works and it was really beautiful.
In the evening, a party was organized at Amanda's house and we had a lot
of fun with most of the French and Americans of the exchange!
To conclude, the Thanksgiving weekend is a way for the Americans to gather their family, to eat and to entertain!
